Jo is a passionate paediatric speech pathologist who loves helping children build strong literacy skills and a lifelong love of learning. Jo
has a special interest in literacy development, is trained in Orton-Gillingham approaches and applies principles of cognitive load theory to
make learning effective and tailored to each child's needs. With extensive experience supporting children at all stages of literacy, Jo
knows how to make reading and writing feel achievable.
Jo also currently works within one of Victoria's highest-performing primary schools, bringing a wealth of practical classroom experience to her therapy, helping students move beyond the basics of literacy attainment to using these skills to access and thrive across the whole curriculum. Jo is dedicated to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where children gain confidence, build skills, and feel proud of their progress. Whether it's early literacy, reading comprehension, or writing, Jo is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
